How to install Cricfy TV on Amazon Fire TV Stick (Lite, 4K, 4K Max)

Tested on Fire OS 7 and Fire OS 8 with the latest 2026 firmware. Total time: under 5 minutes.

  1. Enable Apps from Unknown Sources. Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options. If Developer Options is hidden, go to Settings → My Fire TV → About → click "Fire TV Stick" name seven times to unlock it. Now toggle "Install Unknown Apps" → Downloader → ON.
  2. Install Downloader. From the Firestick home, hold the search button → speak "Downloader" → install the orange app by AFTVnews.
  3. Open Downloader. Allow storage permission on first launch. In the URL field, type: cricfy.net.in and click Go.
  4. Tap the green Download button. Use the Firestick remote D-pad to navigate to the green "Download Cricfy TV v6.8" button on this site. Press the centre button. The APK (24 MB) downloads in roughly 8 seconds on a Fire TV 4K Max.
  5. Install. Downloader auto-opens the APK installer. Click Install. After "App installed", click Open.
  6. (Optional) Delete the APK. Downloader asks if you want to delete the file to free space — click Delete. The installed app is not affected.
  7. Pin Cricfy TV to the home row. Long-press the Cricfy TV icon under "Your Apps and Channels" → Move → drag to the top row. One D-pad press to launch.

How to install on Android TV / Mi Box / Nvidia Shield / OnePlus TV

Pure Android TV is simpler than Fire OS because there is no walled-garden store enforcement.

  1. Settings → Device Preferences → Security & Restrictions → Unknown Sources → toggle ON for your file manager.
  2. Install "Send Files to TV" from the Play Store on the TV, and the matching mobile app on your phone.
  3. On your phone, download the Cricfy TV APK from cricfy.net.in.
  4. Open "Send Files to TV" on the phone → pick the APK → pick your TV's device name.
  5. On the TV, open the file manager → the APK appears → tap → Install → Open.

Optimising Cricfy TV for the big screen

  • Enable 4K mode. Cricfy TV Settings → Player → Max quality → 2160p. Auto-detects whether the source ladder offers a 4K rendition.
  • Increase preload buffer. Settings → Player → Buffer → 30 seconds. Costs ~50 MB of RAM but eliminates micro-stutters on Firestick Lite.
  • Enable Always-on Wi-Fi. Fire TV Settings → Network → Sleep → "Never". Stops the stream stalling when the device dozes between matches.
  • Pair a Bluetooth gamepad. Useful for the multi-server quick-swap (D-pad up = next server) during live action.

Firestick troubleshooting

4K stream stutters on Firestick Lite

Firestick Lite has only 1 GB RAM and tops out at 1080p output. Set Cricfy TV Settings → Player → Max quality → 1080p to match.

Remote D-pad does not select buttons inside the player

Long-press the Home button on the Firestick remote → Sleep → wake the device. This forces the Android TV input focus to re-attach. Cricfy TV v6.8 fixed the underlying focus bug — make sure you are on the latest build.

"This app is not compatible with your device"

You are on a Fire TV with Fire OS 5 (very old). Use the Cricfy TV v4.2 legacy build from the Old Versions page.
